PS would love to know the timeline from having that moment, deciding to write a thriller, learning how to write a thriller, leaving your Wall Street job, selling your novel! Huge congrats on your writing career!

That moment was almost a decade before I left Wall Street. I've always been a huge fiction reader. Novels a reward for all the reports and reams of analysis I had to consume. I never saw myself as a writer, but I did embrace storytelling as a way to get my proposals and teams embraced. If people bought into the story, they were more likely to fund it!

First guess in response to your q: because of the tie? His identity included be a little different and seeing himself as a good guy, willing to stick out?

Great guess! Although many of these guys embraced the whimsy. Sometimes the most difficult ones wore the best/playful socks! Not always a correlation but definitely put me on guard when ankles rested on knees and I got a peek.

Ohhh, yes. I can picture those guys thinking they are special and daring just because of the socks.

Exactly and "hey, I'm friendly. look how fun I am." gotcha.
