Well apparently "rizz" (as in "Charisma" ) is the word that's all the rage. I also love that "liminal" is not related to "limn," which has to do with outlining & drawing. Just *try* to get through a phd program in literature without being liminal all over the damn place. BUT I digress: A resolution: meeting one's soulmate, or perhaps swiping whichever way it is that one swipes with a match... think again: THE SOULMATE by Sally Hepworth takes soulmates in a whole new direction....

Now that I've openly talked about trying to get back into the swing of writing in 2024, you KNOW I'm not about to resolve to go on a writing retreat based on DEEPEST LAKE. (And I haven't read it, but I suspect THE WRITING RETREAT also doesn't make a strong case for going on one...)
