I am going to read this piece A MINIMUM of three more times, and I am also going to consider some revisions...since I'm in the middle of a revision anyway!!

Also, my Ben hated movie Ben so much. But MY Ben is not much like Movie Ben. He would have seen those sheets and been in the car with or without me.

The film seems to reverse the Americans vs Brits/ English stereotypes. Normally it’s the Americans who tell it how it is and don’t care about how they look ( extreme individualistic society) and the British are more reserved and too polite to say what they really mean.

That’s very true!

The remake did a good job but I feel the original had a more dreadful tone.

Regardless, this is great advice.

Enjoyed it.

I read this at the perfect time in my draft, Andromeda! I am guilty of a backstory dump of one of my main characters too early in the novel. I'll have to sort out where to put it at some point (or if I even need it at all :) I am so glad I read this while I am still in an early draft as I feel like you just gave me permission not to hold back on providing all the juicy details to my readers upfront. AND, I am excited to watch this movie!!! Another excellent newsletter from Present Tense!
